Forged from heavy wire stock for strength and durability this splint is specially designed to immobilize the IP joint and stabilize the MCP joint while still allowing movement. This splint was designed when I developed bilateral trigger thumb in spring of 2024, I needed something that would immibilize the IP to stop it from clicking while still allowing the range of motion I needed to work.
There is also a fully immobilizing version with CMC support added on, which is what I slept in to keep all of the joints immobilized and allow them to rest.

For this splint you would want to take the length measurement from the inside of the IP joint to web of thumb with the thumb held straight, rather than bent as when measuring for the hypermobility splints.
This IP joint part of this splint is adjustable within about a half size larger or smaller and the length can be adjusted to ensure the most comfortable fit.
Shown with additonal radial support, which is available at the bottom of the splints page. This splint style does not require a chain, it is held in place by it's grip on the IP joint.
