*****Updated 8/12/2024*****
I unfortunately have to take a few days off, but wanted to make sure I got everything updated first. Over the last few months we've had setback after setback and I've been pushing myself far too hard and my body is finally at breaking point so it's not my choice anymore.
I've been working tirelessly around the clock (literally, been working through the night 1-2 nights a week) doing my best to get everything done and out as quickly as possible, but every time we start to get back on track my assistant has had something unexpected pop up that caused her to miss work so I've been almost entirely on my own. While I'm doing much better I'm still dealing with some of the issues with the trigger thumb and am very limited on how much I can use one of the pieces of equipment, which is the second step in production so essential to getting the splints made. I'm doing as much as I can but it's not something I can push or I'll end up making my thumb bad again. After having just getting moving and making good progress again we ended up missing half of last weekend because I was too sick to move, her over this weekend with COVID, and yesterday got notice of a family emergency and has to go out of state for the next couple weeks, It's been a lot, I'm exhausted and overwhelmed, but just like every other time I've been down this road-the aftermath or hurricane Maria, 2020, my hospitalization last spring-I'll keep plowing forward until I've got it all done. Just have to take a few days off and get some sleep first as I haven't taken any time off since the start of April.
As I've continued to have issues with the site making it difficult to keep up on messaging and edits, and the demands on my time getting splints made leaves not nearly enough hours in the day to get it all done myself, I'm going to be bringing in a couple dear friends, one of which worked with me in my early days when I'd just moved to PR, to help over the next few weeks so I can focus on getting the work organized and out. Tomorrow I'm going to map out a schedule so I can get the dates estimated and added to order note but a preliminary guess would be about 3-4 weeks to get everything fully caught up (provided nothing else goes awry, as that's been the problem so far).

Processing time: the typical processing time for standard splints is 3-5 business days while designer series and titanium splints are 2-3 weeks. however processing time is also dependent on order size and materials used as all items are handmade. You can find more detailed information regarding processing time including how to calculate processing time for larger orders at: Shipping & Policies

Delayed Shipments: As I've been overwhelmed my ADHD is kicked into high gear, so my memory and organization are shot and have been forgetting simple stuff (which is part of the issue with messaging, I don't have notifications as reminders anymore) and haven't been able to consistently remember to uncheck the box for tracking to be updated so shipment notifications have been going out earlier than intended. I'm getting them out as quickly as I'm able, but there are quite a few that need splints that I haven't been able to get done due to unexpected absences. Over the coming week I'll be bringing in additional help in the studio and these will obviously be first priority. If you've received a shipping confirmation email but it's still showing as awaiting shipment it is most likely from one of these batches, however if it's one that has shipped and stopped updating or hasn't updated at all I'll put in a request with USPS to file a claim and remake your order.
International Shipments: We recently changed to GlobalPost for our international shipments. They are a global shipping partner that handles the international leg of transit, picking up from the dispatch country's postal service (USPS) then handing off to the destination country's postal service for the final delivery. They've got a lot of great benefits and typically ship a bit faster than the USPS international options, but most importantly they offer $100 insurance with the ability to add more with their standard shipping service, which previously was only available with the USPS Priority options that cost more than double. We however have an unfortunate glitch and WIX doesn't have them as a default shipping option so tracking numbers are automatically uploaded under USPS, I manually change all of these over so they link to the correct service when you click your tracking link, but sometimes there's a delay and occasionally I'll miss an order, so if you have an international shipment and it goes to "label not in system" this is why, and the tracking will come up if you enter it in the GlobalPost website instead. I sincerely apologize for the confusion with this as well as the frustration and inconvenience, I am working to find a solution directly with the website host so it doesn't keep happening.
