Classic swan neck ring splint to help protect the DIP, PIP, and thumb IP joints from hyperextension, but made from a heavier gauge wire for extra strength and support for larger joints or those with severe hyperextension.
Other sellers frequently offer "extra strength" splints that are designed with multiple wraps above and/or below the joint, but this doesn't affect how the splint stabilizes the joint. While the upper and lower sections of the splint will be stronger and more resilient against being dented or deformed, the fulcrum point is still that same single thickness of wire so will have the same level of support whether there is one wrap or five. Our extra strength splints are made from heavy wire stock nearly double the thickness of our standard wire, providing maximum support and stability for particularly troublesome joints.

While technically this splint is adjustable just like our standard swan neck splints, the increased tensile stregth of the thicker wire stock requires a great deal more finger/hand strength to adjust so it might not be possible for adjustments to be made at home, though if there are any issues they can of course be sent back in under our resizing policy.
